Abstract
On January 8th 2021, the Console-ing Passions community lost Jane Feuer, one of its founding members and longest-serving board members. In 1989, Jane was amongst a group of feminist media scholars and artists looking to create a space to present work and foster scholarship on issues of television, culture, and identity, with an emphasis on gender and sexuality. Dr. Feuer’s passing marks a great loss to the field of media studies. In this event memorializing Jane, we will celebrate the legacy of her professional achievements as well as her wit, her fierce intellect, and honesty, which she deployed on all occasions.
