Abstract

This replaces the Newcomers workshop. We need a space that welcomes new scholars and writers into the addictive possibilities of electronic literature. This would provide a space to find mentors, collaborators, partnerships, and idea exchanges. This engagement will take place in the Discord: join us in the Newcomers channel! Rooms or threads will be available for introductions and bios, grouped by collaborative interest (e.g., database development, archiving, collaborative writing, collaborative scholarship, tips for teaching, ELO town hall follow up). Specific chat threads would follow Twitter hashtags and keywords for submitted works.

This chat Discord will then allow participants a venue to follow up on presentations, round tables, hashtag chats, etc. We look forward to supporting our newcomers!

Now let's see how many people to people connections we can make online.
