    Abstract

We present experimental results on mixed-polarization solitary waves in AlGaAs waveguides. We show experimentally the complicated polarization dynamics of solitonlike beams that is related to the existence of linearly and elliptically polarized mixed-polarization spatial solitons in planar waveguides.
