Abstract
Multi-fractal aspects of spatial intermittency in fully developed compressible turbulence random-beta model, is considered to simulate the multi-fractal mechanism in compressible turbulence. The breakdown of the power-law scaling behavior of the velocity structure function given by the multi-fractal model when dissipative effects arise is then, briefly investigated. The small-scale dissipative structures in compressible turbulence are shown to be apparently less intense than those in incompressible turbulence. Finally, the dynamics in the ultimate compressibility limit is explored and our formulations are shown to reproduce some known features of the one-dimensional Burgers turbulence valid in this limit.
