Abstract

Object-oriented technologies are making a tremendous impact in software and systems development. To me, it is not clear, however, whether engineers doing real-time systems development can benefit from these technologies to the same extent as other application areas. I concentrate in this note on issues I find controversial or questionable. The note is written from a practitioner's, not a researcher's, point of view.
