    Abstract

    The generation of multiple quadratic spatial solitons aligned approximately along a crystal axis in a biaxial noncritically phase-matched crystal is shown theoretically and experimentally to be the consequence of anisotropic diffraction. (C) 2002 Optical Society of America.
