Abstract

IN THIS FEATURE, THE DESIGN AND ADMINISTRATION OF AN O-D TRAVEL SURVEY ARE PRESENTED FOR CENTRAL FLORIDA'S EXPRESSWAY SYSTEM USERS. THE STUDY UTILIZED HYBRID METHODS OF SURVEY DISTRIBUTION (MAIL-OUT AND ROADSIDE) AND RESPONSE (MAIL-BACK AND INTERNET). MAJOR DIFFERENCES IN RESPONSE RATES WERE OBSERVED BETWEEN RESPONDENTS RECEIVING THE SURVEY BY MAIL AND THOSE RECEIVING IT AT THE ROADSIDE.
