    Abstract

    A developed model has been presented in this paper to evaluate the performance of multiple wavelength M-QAM signal transmitted through the fiber optic link with EDFA. Gain saturation characteristics of multiple wavelength signals have been considered to evaluate the performance in WDM application. Position of amplifier in the link demonstrates changes of M-QAM signal performance due to the difference of saturation level. (C) 2004 Published by Elsevier Inc.
