    Abstract

A new constitutive equation for the gas sensitivity of nanocrystalline tin oxide (SnO2) thin film sensor is proposed in this investigation. The experimentally observed variation in the gas sensitivity as a function of operating temperature and the amount of reducing gas, as reported in the literature, is shown to be satisfactorily explained by the proposed theoretical model.
