    Abstract

Porotergus duende, a new species, is described from the lowland western Amazon basin in Brazil and Peru. Porotergus gimbeli from the lowland Amazon basin in Brazil and Peru, and A gymnotus from the Essequibo drainage of Guyana are redescribed.
