November 3, 1995 - A Homecoming pep rally in front of Millican Hall turns into the first Spirit Splash when student body president Miguel Torregrossa is thrown into the Reflection Pond and joined by other excited students. It has since been named the best college or university tradition in Florida by Florida Leader Magazine.
