Abstract
Florida Energy code compliance is essentially done through compliance software approved by the Florida Building commission. As a result, the compliance software plays a critical role in "improving the implementation and enforcement" of Florida's energy code. The 2014 Florida Energy Code consists of four compliance options for residential code compliance and five compliance options for commercial code compliance. In this project, the Technical Assistance Manual that includes validation for each of the compliance options for both residential and commercial compliance software was developed. This forms part of the approval process for software vendors to seek approval of their product for use as Florida Energy Code compliance tool.
