Abstract
Monitoring test plans for deep energy retrofits (30% to 50% whole house savings) have been developed using commercially available home energy monitoring devices that provide real-time in-home electricity management. The devices give circuit-level detail on energy use of three or more electric appliances as well as whole home energy consumption. Examples include The Energy Detective (TED) and eMonitor.
