Abstract
The major concern in the photovoltaic industry is to reduce the cost of PV modules below $1.00/peak watt so as to make the technology economically viable. The research activities at the FSEC PV Materials Lab are focused on developing highly efficient thin-film solar cells capable of being produced using an economical process for achieving this goal. CuIn1-xGaxSe2-ySy (CIGSeS) is a potential candidate for this purpose.
