Description

In this episode, we listen to Dr. Tyler Fisher tell his story from the beginning of his undergraduate experience to his work here as UCF faculty within the Modern Languages and Literatures Department and the Burnett Honors College. UCF's first Rhodes Scholar ('03), Tyler has navigated rigorous academic experiences attending Oxford University, where he completed an MPhil in European Literature, a DPhil in medieval and Modern Languages, and a Postdoc. During undergrad, Tyler developed his interests in Spanish and translation through his English major ('02), a Spanish Honors in the Major ('03), and activities like piano. Listen to Tyler reflect on why he chose UCF, how he decided his major, and how his mentors helped him discover and follow his academic interests.
