In this episode, hear Niko talk about his journey from studying industrial engineering to teaching physics as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Tanzania and later completing his MA TESOL at UCF. Listen to him share stories about the impact of community service on his life trajectory. Since his graduation from the MA TESOL in spring 2021, Niko has worked as a virtual English Language Fellow for Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey. He has taught for UCEDA School’s English language programs in Orlando, Florida and worked as both administrative staff and teaching English language courses at Tarrant County College in Arlington, Texas. After this episode was recorded in May 2023, Niko began the next phase of his graduate studies. He is now working towards a Ph.D. in English with an Applied Linguistics concentration.
