Description
Becton, Dickinson & Company was founded in 1897 by two salesmen, Maxwell W. Becton and Fairleigh S. Dickinson. Originally, they first sold medical thermometers and syringes that were imported from Europe, and then moved to manufacturing. In 1906, the company was incorporated in the state of New Jersey where they built a manufacturing plant. Here they produced thermometers, syringes, and hypodermic needles. This syringe came with two removable tips, and the pull handle has measurements engraved into it.
