The Knights Racing Collection contains materials related to the Knights Racing program at the University of Central Florida, formerly known as Florida Technological University. Knights Racing is a student-led engineering program at the University of Central Florida that designs, builds, and competes with custom racing vehicles.
Since 1972, UCF students have participated in SAE Baja competitions, engineering single-seat off-road vehicles for endurance challenges against teams from around the world. The program expanded in the early 2000s with the addition of Formula SAE, where students develop high-performance, open-wheel racecars for international competition.
Together, the Baja Racing Team and Formula Racing Team provide hands-on experience in vehicle design, fabrication, testing, and competition while showcasing UCF's tradition of engineering innovation.
The physical Knights Racing Collection is housed in the UCF Libraries Special Collections & University Archives. For more details, please consult the collection guide for the Knights Racing Collection. Not all materials in the collection have been digitized.
