Summary

UCF’s mighty mascot history is as colorful and diverse as the university itself. Before Knightro, our beloved champion in shining black and gold armor, there’s been Sir Wins-a-lot, Puff, and Mack the Knight. There have also been unofficial mascots in the forms of Citronaut, Glycerin, and (believe it or not) an actual turkey vulture.

Read on to explore the story, significance, and legacy of UCF’s most popular unofficial mascot: Vinnie the Vulture.
