Description
Central Florida’s adult literacy rate lags well behind the national average. Joyce Whidden, Executive Director of Adult Literacy League, discusses the need to take basic literary skills and apply them to technology. And with a large immigrant population, there’s a pressing need for English language classes for adults. Natalie Roberts, Industry Training Specialist and Business Partner Coordinator, Adult Learning Center Osceola, recognizes this need and how to combat it. In this edition, Metro Center Outlook examines the challenges and opportunities this situation poses to our community.
