Open Access Week 2020
Are you hoping to publish an article via Open Access so everyone can see your work but worried about ensuring you use a legitimate publisher? Are you hoping to save your students money on their textbooks while still providing them with quality materials? Do you enjoy puzzles?
If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we hope you can join us this October 19 – 23, 2020 for some fun games and informative sessions to learn more about Open Access!
A little about Open Access:
When scholars publish their research under Open Access, their works are provided at no cost to the user and are available via online access. Benefits to the publisher of Open Access works include a wider readership and higher impact ratings. There may be other costs associated with publishing, strategies for discerning reliable publishers, and considerations for compliance with funders. In addition to journal articles, textbooks can be shared with the Open Access model as well to help save our students money.
To learn more, keep an eye on our blogs and social media accounts for information about our upcoming Open Access week events! We’ll have a variety of items geared to both our faculty as well as our students. Should be something for everyone!
