Abstract
Methods of using cerium oxide nanoparticles to promote angiogenesis are described. In a particular embodiment, a method of promoting angiogenesis in tissue comprises contacting the tissue with a composition comprising cerium oxide nanoparticles effective for stimulating proliferation of endothelial cells associated with the tissue.
