Abstract
Triacetone triperoxide (TATP) and other explosives of the peroxide family are used extensively by terrorist organizations around the world because they are easy to prepare and very difficult to detect. TATO as an explosive is almost as powerful as TNT, but is extremely sensetive to friction and is one of the most sensetive explosives known.
