Abstract
A unique means of utilitzing existing technologies (possibly with entirely off-the-shelf components, but with options for the use of custom designed components) to accomplish three objectives. (1) To improve the efficiency of photovoltaics (PV) solar panels and cells by removing the heat (infrared, IR) from the light itself, before it hits the PV, via the mode filtering of optical fibers and the use of fiber Bragg gratings.
