Samuel [Samuel Carpenter] I can not [cannot] but sorrow with the [thee] [you]
for thy [your] deare [dear] babe the Lord is pleasd [pleased] to
take yong [young] as well asagede [as aged] my deare [dear] husband
hath [has] oftne [often] spooke [spoke] of him and said he
queschand [questioned] ^wheth^ [whether] he would live long he was so
wise he much admirde [admired] his wisdone [wisdom] he being
so yongue [young] I have beene [been] much concarned [concerned] for
thy [your] famalye [family] d [crossed out] and oftne [often] inquired after
them I shall beverudesia [be very desired] to heare [hear] how it
[is?] ples [please] the Lord to deel [deal] with deare [dear] Israel [Israel Pemberton]
ann not [a person?] is sumthing [something] beter [better] the rest is we^ll^ [well]
thy [your] lines hath [has] satisfied me I am contented
