Biography
Alexandra Valerio is a senior in the College of Arts and Humanities. She is pursuing a major in writing & rhetoric ,with a minor in technical communication. Throughout her undergraduate career she has explored writing in several ways, but connects most deeply to writing through her various roles as a tutor, editor, and researcher. She works at the University Writing Center as a writing consultant, and is a student editor for Sylus: A Journal of First-Year Writing. Her research experiences at UCF include the Honors in the Major program, the Research and Mentoring Program, and the Summer Research Academy. Her research interests include writing center research, literacy and composition studies, and genre theory. In the future, Alexandra would like to pursue a career in the editing and publishing industry as an editor, researcher, or technical writer.
