Title

Proposal And Some Issues Concerning The Use Of Videomedia In The University Classroom.

Abstract

The author advocates the extensive use of videomedia in the university classroom and discusses the impact of this in education. The administration will need to provide special support to the instructional resources department and the library. Faculty can improve the teaching, and courses can be standardized. A student will have the opportunity to view a lecture more than once on a videotape and prepare at his own pace. The author claims that university education would improve a great deal, but several controversial issues, such as class attendance, teacher evaluation, emphasis on presentation or the course content, and ownership of videotapes will arise.
