Title
Some Models For The Economic Justification.
Abstract
This study developed a mathematical model that considers the economic characteristics of an FMS. It uses feasible investment plans and estimates the changes in capital recovery costs obtainable when an FMS is installed incrementally as compared to an FMS installed at a single point in time. The model is designed to (1) utilize readily available data, (2) provide a systems approach to the replacement problems, and (3) facilitate effective decision making. The effects of cost of capital, inflation, incremental implementation costs, timing of expansions and increase of production requirements are considered.
