Title
Production And Procurement Strategy Formulation.
Abstract
Strategy formulation is simply adjusting the organization to its environment. As the environment changes, and it is changing rapidly, the strategy must be modified. Some of the changes that are greatly impacting upon the U. S. manufacturing environment are: a. world competition; b. new technology; and c. labor force. All of these changes in the environment and others must be reflected in the strategy formulation process. This paper reviews the strategy formulation process, discusses the relationship of production and procurement strategy and develops a methodology to insure a fully integrated plan.
