An Application Of Institutional Change Theories In The Health Care Industry: Implications For Planning
Abstract
This paper reviews the evolution of institutions within the health care industry and examines the ability of the theories of instititional change to explain and predict the changes identified. The theories are then used to predict future changes, to suggest public policy directions and to identify possible managerial strategies to assist health care institutions.
