Title
Use Of Expert Systems To Develop An Intelligent Simulation Training System.
Abstract
The authors describe the early stages of constructing an intelligent simulation training system. This tutoring system will be evaluated and demonstrated in the context of the National Airways System. The demonstration system has been built and is operational. A prototype system is expected to be operational in late 1987 and the full-blown system will be started on evaluation of the prototype. The system is intended to be generic, with a rather extended knowledge domain. It consists of three main components: a student workstation, an expert-system inference engine, and a knowledge base.
