Title
Estimating Seasonality In Time-Series Forecasting Models.
Abstract
Using the tourism industry of the State of Florida, the findings indicate that increased efficiency in forecasting hotel occupancies can be achieved by using the step-wise seasonal method. When compared with two other traditional methods of time series forecasting, the step-wise technique had minimum mean square error. Given that the step-wise procedure is easily understood, inexpensive to use, and extremely flexible, additional research into its accuracy appears warranted. -from Authors
