Title
Recent Advances Of Nonlinear Optical Crystals
Abstract
Recent advances in high-efficiency nonlinear crystals for various applications in electro-optical modulator, beam combination and frequency mixing using second-order and third-order susceptibilities are presented. Critical issues of materials requirements such as availability, conversion efficiency, ease of fabrication and high damage threshold are discussed. Features of new crystals such as KTP, KNbO3, structure-LiNbO3, BaBa2O4, LiB3O5, POM, DAN, TAS and multifunction crystals such as Nd:MgO:LiNbO3, and Nd-Yttrium-Aluminate-Borate are explored by potential applications in tunable lasers.
