Title
Design Procedure To Size Windows For Naturally Ventilated Rooms.
Abstract
A step-by-step procedure for sizing inlet and outlet window areas for naturally ventilated rooms is presented. The procedure sizes windows to obtain a desired airflow (cfm) in cross-ventilated rooms for a given wind speed and direction. It accounts for the effects of architectural projections, neighboring buildings, terrain type and insect screening. The procedure has been verified against airflow measurements in a full-scale residence. (Author abstract. )
