Title
Temperature Distribution In Rectangular Solids Subject To Non-Uniform Flux.
Abstract
The non-steady temperature distribution is solved for different rectangular target solids that are being heated by non-uniform flux and are simultaneously losing heat by convection and radiation to the surroundings at the exposed target surface. The solution is determined by use of successive finite transforms for the coordinate parameters and Laplace transforms for the time parameter. The general solution for each target solid is given for any type of distribution of target energy rate per unit area.
