Changes In The Composition Of Mexico'S International Tourists, 1970-1980
Abstract
This article studies the significant changes in the composition of international visitors to Mexico during the 1970s. Factors examined are the importance of U.S. visitors relative to those from Europe, Canada, and Latin America; purpose of travel; and airborne versus overland arrivals. Suggestions are made as to how these changes should influence thegovernment's current policy decisions aimed at increasingforeign exchange from international tourism. © 1984, Sage Publications.
