Abstract

Global operations and communications open many opportunities for organizations, ranging from the creation of new markets to the ability to hold on to existing ones. Setting up a global network also poses daunting challenges; technical issues, regulatory structures, and cultural barriers are among the obstacles that IS management must be prepared to negotiate.
