Ion-Ion Recombination In The Tertiary Mixtures Ch4:Sf6:He And Ch4:Sf6:Ar
Abstract
The authors present measurements of the recombination of ions in atmospheric pressure discharges through tertiary mixtures of methane, sulphur hexafluoride and either helium or argon. Measurements were made as a function of gas pressure, gas composition and applied electric field strength. It was found that the rates could be described by a simple power law. © 1990 IOP Publishing Ltd.
