Title
Benchmarking The Constructability Of Innovative Net Shape Homebuilding Technologies
Abstract
This paper presents a methodology for benchmarking the constructability of innovative net shape homebuilding technologies. Net shape technologies utilize large-scale, factory manufactured building components, which are designed to minimize construction site operations. The methodology is demonstrated in a detailed side-by-side field study comparing the innovative MIT roof system against conventional truss roof construction.
