Title
Optimal Compensation Technique For High Frequency Circuits
Abstract
This paper presents the study of the settling time versus stability using the open-loop transfer function of the approximated two-pole model of an operational amplifier. By frequency compensating the op-amp for an optimum phase margin, settling time can be drastically reduced over the commonly used 60 degrees phase margin compensation. A computer simulation was conducted to support the proposed technique.
