Title
Flux Correction Method For The Conjugate Heat Transfer Problem
Abstract
A computational method, the flux correction method, is proposed to deal with the conjugate heat transfer problem, which uses a coupled FDM/BEM iteration scheme. The convective heat transfer in the fluid is solved using the FDM, and the conduction heat transfer in the solid is solved using the BEM. The two solutions are coupled by enforcing continuity of temperature and heat flux at the solid-fluid interfaces. The proposed method is tested using available experimental data. For the considered cases of flow in a parallel plate channel subjected to constant heat flux or constant temperature, good agreements are observed.
