On a generalized BIE for heat conduction in heterogeneous media
Abstract
In this paper, we derive a generalized fundamental solution which is used in formulating a generalized BIE for heat conduction in heterogeneous media. The generalized fundamental solution is derived as a locally radially symmetric response to a non-symmetric singular forcing function. The fundamental solution varies within the domain as the source point changes position. Numerical examples are provided and excellent results are obtained using the generalized BIE.
