Title

Creating a Virtual Lab for real-time education on the web

Abstract

Internet is geared toward the support of real time interactive applications where the users can establish video conferencing sessions, listen or watch radio/TV, and explore the real world through the remote acquisition and control of physical variables. Scientists and engineers are finding that remote experimentation can be conducted via Internet. This paper describes the UCF Virtual Lab Project, whose objective is to develop a Virtual Lab that allows professors and students to access and configure different laboratory instruments and control physical variables using a standard web browser.
