Abstract
Disturbance in body image has long been noted as one of the most distressing psychological factors for obese individuals. Yet, only in recent years have researchers and clinicians begun to appreciate the need to integrate systematic evaluation of this component into intervention programs. Accordingly, this mini-review offers an overview of selected strategies for the assessment of body image disturbance in obesity. Copyright © 1998 NAASO.
