Title
Performance evaluation of dry detention ponds with underdrains
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the potential factors that affect the performance of dry detention ponds with underdrains using laboratory, field and forensic approaches. The study evaluates a plan to be used for investigating the performance of the non-functioning dry ponds with underdrains. The results of this study will help in defining the factors that affect the performance of the ponds; therefore, providing the tools required to validate the currently used design criteria as will be seen during permit process. In addition, recommendations for or against, the use of current construction and maintenance methodologies were made based upon the results of this study.
