Title
Simple zero-voltage-switching boost converter
Abstract
In this paper, a new type of PWM boost Zero-Voltage-Switching converter is presented. The new soft-switching converter is formed by adding only two auxiliary components to a conventional boost converter, namely: an active switch and a resonant inductor. The voltage stresses on both the main and auxiliary switches are fixed at Vg+V0 and they are not proportional to the load range. The proposed boost soft-switching converter is especially suitable for medium voltage level and high power density application due to its simplified power stage and control circuit.
