Title
Content-based image retrieval using gradient projections
Abstract
Content-based image retrieval (CBIR) is a technique that enables a user to extract an image, based on a query, from a database containing vast amount of pictures. A program for Matlab is developed in order to test this database so that an optimal object position for CBIR may established. In addition to further database testing, actual comparison of result rankings with other CBIR methods is performed. The proposed method provides the user with accurate results for similar images based on a submitted images. This research has proven that the program can find objects in similar environments and indicate desired images without a text-typed query.
