Spectral measurements of nonlinear absorption in polymethine and squarylium dyes
Abstract
Measurements were conducted to characterize two dyes at wavelengths from 440 to 650 nm. The experimental light source was a singly resonant picosecond optical parametric oscillator (OPO) synchronously pumped by the third harmonic of a flash-lamp-pumped Nd:YAG laser. Pump-probe measurements were performed with the second harmonic of an Nd:YAG laser having a pulsewidth of 30 ps (FWHM). The results obtained are presented in detail.
