Title
Photodegradation of DANS and DR1 electro-optic polymers
Abstract
The wavelength dependence of photodegradation quantum efficiency induced by both one-photon, and two-photon, absorption processes is investigated. Experiments are conducted using many different laser sources and interpreted using a theoretical model to described the photobleaching. Plugging the results into a simulation allows the prediction of the evolution of the local dye concentration as a function of the material's illumination history. In the case of waveguide structures, it can forecast the induced performance evolution.
