Title
Application Of The Drbem To The Solution Of Viscous Fluid Flow In A Channel
Abstract
The dual reciprocity boundary element method (DRBEM) is applied to solve the problem of viscous fluid flow in a channel. This type problem is formally governed by the Navier-Stokes equations. The DRBEM is applied to a modified nonlinear Burgers equation which account for the pressure gradient. The limiting case of the solution of this equation yields fully developed flow in a channel with constant and moving walls with or without a pressure gradient. Numerical results are compared to analytical solutions, and DRBEM results are shown to compare well.
